The authors of the "Handbook of Mineralogy", John W. Anthony, Richard A. Bideaux, Kenneth W. Bladh and Monte C. Nichols have made available the full text of the 904 species published in Volume II with at most minor additions and corrections. Information about each silicate is contained in Adobe pdf files. Try it out.
