Har inte kollat ingående hur långt tillbaka eller hur färska volymer som finns...men verkar vara bra täckning.

OpenDOAR - Directory of Open Access Repositories. University of Nottingham, UK and University of Lund, Sweden are developing the OpenDOAR service for Open Access to research information. "OpenDOAR is building a comprehensive and authoritative list of institutional and subject-based repositories, as well as archives set up by funding agencies - like the National Institutes for Health in the USA or the Wellcome Trust in the UK and Europe. Users of the service are able to analyse repositories by location, type, the material they hold and other measures. This can be of use both to users wishing to find original research papers and for third-party "service providers", like search engines or alert services, which need easy to use tools for developing tailored search services to suit specific user communities."

Har glömt att nämna att Infotrieve Online nu har gjort sin databas fritt tillgänglig för sökning. "Access the most powerful database of scientific, technical, medical, and other scholarly content. Search through 26 million citations and 8.5 million abstracts from over 54,000 journals. "

Har nog nämnt denna förut, men den är väl värd att nämnas igen: BASE - Bielefeld Academic Search Engine . Base är en vetenskaplig sökmotor som utvecklats vid Bielefeld University Library och baserad på den norska FAST teknologin.
"BASE complements the current metasearch system for catalogues and databases of the Bielefeld Digital Library by disclosing multiple scholarly full text archives, digital repositories and preprint servers on the World Wide Web"
Ett bra komplement till andra sökmotorer som t. ex. Scirus, Google Scholar m.fl.

Det finns fantastiska idéer runt om på internet! Titta bara på iSpecies.org- a species search engine.
"If you type in a species name it builds a web page for it showing sequence data from GenBank, literature from Google Scholar and photos from a Yahoo image search. " Det finns en blog- också kallad iSpecies, där man kan läsa mer och hitta andra nyheter.

US Geological Survey har en bra sida med "Frequently Asked Questions". Frågor & svar inom många naturvetenskapliga ämnen. Titta också runt på USGS andra sidor. Massor med bra information.
