För att fira "Year of Planet Earth" har Nature magazine ett gratis tillgängligt supplement: Year of planet Earth : Nature
"To celebrate the International Year of Planet Earth, this special supplement explores recent developments and future directions in the Earth sciences. ReleMed® search engine


Ännu en söktjänst för MedLine: ReleMed® search engine. "The similarity of ReleMed with services like PubMed is that it retrieves almost the same articles. WiserWiki


Inte riktigt "våra" ämnen, men intressant att se: Elsevier har startat upp en medicinsk wiki:
WiserWiki.
"WiserWiki is a wiki that will allow accredited physicians to comment, collaborate and update medical information online and is viewable by everyone. The site was originally seeded with content from John Noble’s “Textbook of Primary Care Medicine” (3rd Edition). "

eTBlast Search " A text similarity-based engine for searching literature collections" eTBlast: "is a unique search engine for searching biomedical literature. Our service is very different from PubMed. While PubMed searches for "keywords", our search engine lets you input an entire paragraph and returns MEDLINE abstracts that are similar to it. Encyclopedia of Earth


Har nog nämnt denna tidigare, men den förtjänar att nämnas igen:
Encyclopedia of Earth.

DOI...

Kanske har du sett DOI "adresser"?
Här ett tips: Vad är DOI? (Digital object identifier): Kortfattat är det en permanent "adress" till ett dokument. Oavsett var på webben dokumentet finns ska det kunna återfinnas. En vanlig webbadress är inte stabil, objekt kan flyttas till nya sidor etc. men en DOI följer dokumentet. Hur kan man då hitta ett dokument (artikel etc.) med hjälp av dess DOI? En DOI kan se ut t.ex så här för en artikel: "Initial sequencing and analysis of the human genome", International Human Genome Sequencing Consortium, Nature 409, 860 - 921 (2001);[doi:10.1038/35057062 ] Några enkla genvägar och verktyg: The handle system eller The DOI system löser enkelt upp DOI. Klistra in DOI i sökrutan, tryck enter och du kommer till artikeln.

SJR indikatorerna räknas fram från siffror tagna ur Scopus® databas i mars 2007 och ska uppdateras periodvis.
SJR utgår från ett antal olika indikatorer. För tidskrifter te.x. "H Index, Journal Title, Journal Documents, Total Cites and Cites per Document". För länder: "Total of Published Documents, Document Citations, Cites per Document and H Index. "
